Although Samsung is furtive about the future, not everyone is so tight-lipped.
Samsung will not release a Galaxy S7 Edge+ in the UK, according to a new report.
Instead, the company supposedly plans to launch a Galaxy Note 6 as its flagship phablet.
“Samsung isn’t going to launch the S7 Edge+ in the UK,” the source is quoted as saying.
The anonymous insider continued: “I got the impression that it had been a bit of a disappointment sales-wise and that the decision to keep the Note 5 out of Europe is now considered a mistake.”
“So our information is that the Note 6 will launch in the UK in August and that there will be no S7 Edge+,” the source added.
When asked for comment, a Samsung spokesperson told us: “We can’t comment on these types of article, which are based on rumour and speculation.”

Unfortunately, it’s not clear from the reports whether Samsung is scrapping the Galaxy S7 Edge+ globally, or just in the UK.
Samsung handsets have skipped certain locations in the past; the Note 5 famously missed out on a European launch.
If a Galaxy Note 6 is on the horizon however, it likely won’t arrive until autumn. But Samsung is tipped to be launching both the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge at the upcoming Mobile World Congress tradeshow in just two weeks’ time.
